This seven-day trip runs the route in reverse: Cairo first, then straight south to Aswan for the 2 August 2027 eclipse, viewed near the island temple of Philae, before cruising north to Luxor.
Sailing downstream means the temples arrive in a different order — Kom Ombo, then Edfu, then Karnak and the Valley of the Kings at the end. The eclipse falls early in the itinerary, so the days after it are unpressured.
