Day-by-day plan.

  1. Upon arrival in Abu Simbel, you will be met by a representative who will escort you to board the Prince Abbas Lake Nasser Cruise. Check-in begins at 13:00. After lunch on board, set out to explore the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples, masterpieces commissioned by Pharaoh Ramesses II and later relocated to protect them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.

    These colossal monuments stand as a testament to ancient Egyptian artistry and devotion. Return to the ship for afternoon tea and leisure time before dinner. You may also choose to attend the optional evening Sound and Light Show at Abu Simbel, which vividly narrates the story of these temples through music and illumination.

  2. Enjoy breakfast as the cruise sails toward Kasr Ibrim. From the sun deck, view the remains of this ancient fortress, now an island rising from the waters of Lake Nasser. After lunch, disembark to visit the Temple of Amada, one of the oldest in Nubia, built by Thutmose III and later expanded by Amenhotep II and Thutmose IV.

    Continue to the Temple of Derr, a rock-cut sanctuary of Ramesses II, and the Tomb of Pennut, the burial site of a Viceroy of Kush, both relocated to preserve them from flooding. Return to the ship for a cocktail reception followed by a lively Nubian folklore performance.

After the tour, disembark and transfer to your hotel in Aswan or onward destination.
