Board the Nuun in Aswan and settle in over lunch. In the afternoon, take a felucca-style sail past Elephantine Island before returning for dinner on deck as the boat moors for the night.
Overview
A 5-day, 4-night dahabiya sail between Luxor and Aswan aboard the Nuun.
The Nuun is a dahabiya — a traditional, wind-assisted sailing boat carrying only a handful of cabins — sailing a quieter stretch of the Nile between Luxor and Aswan over a 4-night itinerary. Compared to a standard cruise ship, the pace is slower and the mooring spots quieter, with the same major temples visited along the way.
Itinerary
Day-by-day plan.
Visit Philae Temple by boat in the morning, then set sail toward Kom Ombo. Spend the afternoon on deck, with a stop for swimming where conditions allow.
Visit Kom Ombo's double temple, dedicated to Sobek and Horus the Elder, then continue sailing to Edfu to see the Temple of Horus. Dinner on deck under open sky.
A gentle day of sailing north, with time to relax on deck and watch village life along the riverbanks. Moor for the final night before disembarkation.
After a final breakfast on board, disembark near Luxor, marking the end of the journey.
